Question:
I want a job with autonomy, salaried at a wage comparable to support a single mother with three kids, a company phone/line, possibly use of a company car, definitely an office or cubical, in a health care related or educational environment, with excellent benefits. Currently I work in a ER and the physical demands and the 12 hour shift is VERY hard on my body as I am on my feet alll day! Also since I am not a nurse I am taking commands all day which I hate to do anymore! I have no control over my schedule, and the pay alone forces me to live off an on the welfare system (which I hate)! I have 14 years experience working primarily in emergency rooms and L&D with light clerical duties. I feel I am qualified to do a lot of other jobs but when they see that I have a CNA certificate I am always shuffled right back to a job I no longer love. I am graduating with my bachelors in general studies in December. Where are good places to look for work in Illinois and Indiana with all of my wants, likes and dislikes with my qualifications.
Answer:
Have you Googled ”medical jobs in xxxx” or “health care jobs in xxx”? What about working at a “doc in the box”, one of those urgent care centers that are open from 9:00 to 9:00 every day? That would be far less demanding.

Health insurance company? Maybe not. Once you learn how evil they are, they’ll have you spitting blood.
Question:
I’m not really skilled in anything, nor do I have a degree, but I’m going to lose my job over the summer, and I know I won’t be able to find another one, because A) the economy around here sucks. it took a whole year for me to find THIS job, B) I’m moving at the end of the summer, and C) I’m going to be traveling a LOT over the summer because I’m still not sure where we’re moving — it all depends on where my cohabiting friend can find a job/what financial aid package I can get from universities.
In other words, finding and holding down something ‘steady’ may not be an option, so I wanted to know if there’s some way I could find “side jobs” that don’t require regular commitment, where I can just pocket some cash from the day/week of work I do and then be done with it.
Anyone ever do that?
I’d rather do something legal, if possible.
Answer:
Can you write? There is a website that I use to submit writing projects that I need. I HATE writing. I know what I want to write about, but it’s not always easy articulating it, especially if I know nothing about the topic. I’m more of a bullet-points type of person.
The website is called http://iwriter.com There are no membership fees and no bulshit “writing kits” to buy. This is a legit gig. Clients request writing projects and the Writers write them. The client reviews the article written and if they like it, they pay the writer. If not, it goes back into the queue for someone else to write. Just watch the videos on the site to see how it’s done.
As long as you have internet access in your travels, you can do this!
