Job Application for Retail Store

I want to start applying for jobs since I need to start saving money for school and stuff. I’m turning 18 in a few more days and I’ve heard many retail stores starts hiring at that age. I live in Philadelphia and I was thinking about heading over to Zara, H&M, or Urban Outfitters to apply. But thing is, how can i get the application without looking stupid. I mean, I just don’t want to go up to the cashier and be like, “hey, you guys hiring? i need a job.” Is there another why I could get it would sounding like I’m too eager or a look like an idiot.

Just ask the cashier for a job application. Better yet, “Is the manager available? I’d like to get a job application.” Just a head’s up, many of the larger retail stores only accept online applications. So check their websites and check online with a reputable job search site like Snagajob. You’ll be able to search by zip code and the type of work you’re looking for.
